Daily Page Commissions
A commission claims one calendar date and one finished journal page. You describe the room, the object, the person or the small event that should be held, and the studio draws that single frame in graphite and ink. The page is dated at the foot with a straight edge and photographed under the north window before it is clipped to the rail.
The process begins with a short written brief, usually one to three paragraphs. We reply with a pencil thumbnail so the composition is agreed before ink is committed. Once the thumbnail is approved, the date is locked in the calendar check grid. The original, the underdrawing and the proof photograph ship flat in a rigid mailer within seven working days of the drawing date, and the archive keeps a reference scan for future matching.
Commissions suit milestone dates, memorial pages, house portraits and quiet scenes that would be lost otherwise. They are not illustration for commercial reproduction unless that right is agreed in writing before the date is booked.

Printed Page Sets
A printed page set turns finished pages into a matched stack of numbered sheets on warm cotton stock. The studio prints on a small press, trims each sheet by hand and collates the stack in drawing order so the set reads like a book without a spine. Sets are built from pages already in the archive, which means the quality is known before a single sheet is run.
Most sets are ordered in runs of twelve, twenty four or thirty six pages, and each sheet carries a small printed date line at the foot. A printed index card lists the dates in order and sits loose on top of the stack. Sets can be sized to a frame or to a shelf, and we will mark the trimmed dimension on your confirmation so there are no surprises at the framer.
Because printing is seasonal, the studio opens a winter print window and a summer print window rather than running the press every week. Orders placed inside a window ship together, which keeps the paper cost fair and the colour consistent across the run.

Journal Kit Assembly
A journal kit is assembled by hand as a working box. Inside sit a blank ruled journal, a short pencil, a fine liner, a dated index card and a printed guide that walks through the one page a day habit in plain steps. The box is packed so it can be reopened many times without tearing, because a kit is meant to be used, not stored.
Assembly happens on the long table at 363 E 200 N, Logan - 84321-4102, United States (US), with every box checked against a short list before it is closed. Journals are opened flat to confirm the spine, pencils are sharpened, liners are tested on a scrap sheet. Anything that fails the check goes back to the shelf rather than into a parcel.
Kits are popular as a first step for someone who wants to draw but does not know where to begin. The guide is short on purpose, with four steps and one page of examples, and it names no app and requires no account. If a kit is a gift, we can add a gift page bundle note at no extra cost when the two are ordered together.

Sketch Framing Service
Sketch framing gives a finished page a proper edge. We measure the sheet, cut a mat with a generous bottom weight, set the page against an acid free backing and close the frame with a paper dust cover and a hanging wire. Frames come from a small stock of plain timber profiles in walnut, ash and painted cream.
The mat is cut in the studio with a hand held cutter and checked against the page before anything is taped. We use paper hinges only, so the page can be removed later without damage if a client wants to frame a second sheet in the same way. Glazing is glass by default and acrylic where weight matters.
Framing usually adds three to five working days after a page is dry. If a commission is being framed, the proof photograph is sent before framing begins so the client can approve the page and the frame together. Framed pages are collected from the studio or shipped in a purpose built box with corner protection.

Studio Open Page Days
Open page days are scheduled afternoons when the rail is cleared and the long table is set with paper, pencils and ink. Guests draw one page, date it and hang it beside the work already on the board. The room seats eight comfortably, and no experience is required to take a seat.
Each session opens with a short demonstration of the studio method: choose one frame, block it lightly, commit to ink, date the foot. Then the room works quietly for two hours with a break for tea. The studio keeps a box of reference objects on the table, from a chipped enamel cup to a folded bus ticket, for anyone who arrives without a subject in mind.
Pages drawn at an open day belong to the guest and leave with the guest unless they choose to pin the page to the board for the season. Dates are posted on the calendar check grid at the studio and announced by email to the studio list. Groups of four or more can request a private open page afternoon.

Gift Page Bundles
A gift page bundle pairs a dated original page with a short printed note explaining the moment it marks. Bundles are wrapped in waxed paper, tied with cotton string and finished with a small amber sticker so the parcel reads clearly before the paper is opened. We ship bundles on the date you choose, not before.
The printed note is written in the studio from the brief you send, kept to a few sentences and free of any borrow phrasing, so the recipient reads a plain explanation rather than a card that says nothing. Bundles can be assembled around a single page or around a short run of three or five dated pages for a longer story.
Gift bundles are the most common first order from clients who are unsure what a daily page commission involves. They are a low risk way to see the line quality and the paper before commissioning a larger set. If the recipient later wants a matching piece, the archive scan makes the pairing straightforward.
